Terms of Service
Effective date: November 3, 2026
These terms apply to your use of finitewelding.com and to products and services from Finite Welding ("we," "us," "our"), owned by Chris Smith in El Dorado, CA 95623. By using our site or ordering from us, you agree to these terms.
What we do
We are a Double Diamond Fabrication (DDFAB) dealer that builds and installs custom steel truck flatbeds. We also do custom metal fabrication and metal art.
Using our site
Please use the site lawfully. Don't try to disrupt it, access it without permission, or copy its content (including photos and designs) for commercial use without our written OK. Site content is provided for general information and may change without notice.
Quotes and estimates
Quotes and estimates are based on the information you give us and are not binding until we confirm them in writing. If the project scope, materials, or details change, the price may change too. Estimates are good for 30 days from the date we send them.
Pricing
Prices shown on our site or in a quote may change at any time until your order or job is confirmed in writing. California sales tax (currently 8.25%) is added where applicable. Installation is a separate charge from the flatbed or product itself.
Orders, payments, and deposits
Payment terms, including any deposit, are set out in your quote or invoice. We accept payments through Squarespace Payments (Stripe), including card and ACH, and through Housecall Pro.
Deposits: Deposits are non-refundable once materials have been procured for your job and from the moment fabrication begins.
Cancellations: You can cancel your order before any material is cut. We will schedule your job and let you know the start date; the cancellation window closes 24 hours before work starts.
Refunds and returns: Special-ordered items (such as parts or accessories we order from outside suppliers for your job) are non-refundable. If you cancel after we have ordered them, they belong to you and you are welcome to collect them from our shop.
Custom-built items
Most of what we make is built to your specifications. Please review your quote, drawings, and specs carefully; you're responsible for confirming measurements and details you provide. Once materials have been procured or fabrication has begun, your deposit is non-refundable.
Your files and designs
If you send us photos, drawings, CAD files, logos, or other designs, you confirm that you own them or have permission to use them, and that our using them to make your project won't violate anyone else's rights. You agree to be responsible for any claims arising from materials you provide.
Photos and videos of your vehicle and project. We may take photos and videos of your vehicle and the work we do, and we may post them on our website, Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube, unless you specifically ask us not to. If you would like photos or videos of your vehicle or project removed, contact us and we will remove them within 30 days.
Installation and scheduling
Install dates are scheduled with you and may shift due to parts, weather, or other factors outside our control. All installs are done at the Finite Welding shop in El Dorado, CA. Please bring your vehicle to the shop at the agreed time. You may also buy a finished flatbed and install it yourself; if you do, you're responsible for proper installation and any results of that installation.
Warranty
We warranty our welds and metal craftsmanship for 5 years. Lighting and wiring workmanship is warrantied for 3 years, including corroded connectors or wiring mistakes on our part. Mounting hardware torque is warrantied for 1 year. Mounting hardware should be checked every 6 months to make sure it is properly torqued. Coverage depends on how any damage occurred; damage from accidents, misuse, overloading, or normal wear is not covered. Except as stated here, in any written warranty provided with your job, or required by law, products and services are provided "as is."
