Finite Welding ("we," "us," "our") is owned by Chris Smith and based in El Dorado, CA 95623. This policy explains what information we collect through finitewelding.com and when you work with us, how we use it, and the choices you have.
What we collect
Contact and quote requests: your name, phone number, email address, project details, and any photos, drawings, or CAD files you upload.
Orders (if our online store is open): name, contact info, billing and shipping address, and order details. Card and ACH payments are processed by Squarespace Payments (powered by Stripe); we do not store your full card or bank account numbers.
Jobs and invoices: information needed to schedule work, send estimates and invoices, and take payments, managed through Housecall Pro.
Email and messages: what you send us by email (we use Google Workspace), text message, or social media.
Website usage: basic device and browsing information (such as pages visited, browser type, and approximate location) collected by Squarespace analytics and cookies.
How we use it
To respond to questions and prepare quotes.
To schedule, build, install, and invoice your project.
To process orders and payments, including California sales tax where it applies.
To send texts and emails about your quote or job.
To send marketing emails or texts, only if you've opted in (you can unsubscribe any time).
To keep our website running and understand how it's used.
Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us run the business, such as Squarespace (website, store, email campaigns, analytics), Stripe (payments), Google Workspace (email), Housecall Pro (jobs, invoices, payments), and our text messaging providers (Squarespace and Housecall Pro). If you request flatbed pricing through Double Diamond Fabrication's page (ddfab.co/finitewelding), that information is collected by Double Diamond Fabrication under its own privacy policy and shared with us so we can follow up. We may also share information if required by law.
Text messaging (SMS)
If you give us your mobile number and agree to receive texts, Finite Welding may send you messages about quotes, scheduling, and job updates, and, if you separately opt in, occasional marketing messages.
Consent to receive texts is not a condition of any purchase.
Message frequency varies.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.
Cookies
Our site uses cookies and similar tools from Squarespace to make the site work, remember preferences, and measure traffic. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; some site features may not work without them.
Your California privacy rights (CCPA/CPRA)
If you are a California resident, you have the right to:
Know what personal information we collect, use, and disclose.
Delete personal information we've collected from you, subject to legal exceptions (for example, records we must keep for taxes).
Correct inaccurate personal information.
Opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information. We do not sell or share your personal information as those terms are defined under California law.
Not be discriminated against for using these rights.

How long we keep information
We keep information as long as needed to provide our services, keep business and tax records, and meet legal obligations, then delete or de-identify it. We keep job, quote, and invoice records for 10 years.
Security
We use reasonable measures and trusted service providers to protect your information, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Children
Our site and services are not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 for California purposes), and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we'll delete it.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. We'll post the new version here with an updated effective date.
